About

The Structured Network Engineer Programme is designed for new entrants to the industry or for experienced engineers who want to improve their skills and knowledge.

This level 3 apprenticeship is designed to take 12 - 15 months, with the apprentice consistently receiving support from their assessor. Assessors will guide apprentices through each module to ensure they are applying their knowledge and skills to their job role. Our assessors will also help to build the portfolio of evidence with each apprentice to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have gained.

How is the Apprenticeship Delivered?

The apprenticeship is delivered through block courses, webinars and online learning.

By the end of the programme the apprentices will have covered:

  • Health and Safety
  • Personal Development
  • Fibre Optic Installation
  • Copper Installation
  • Testing Networks
  • Investigating and Defining Customer Requirements
  • Quality Management

Completing the Apprenticeship

To complete the apprenticeship, apprentice's must complete a comprehensive portfolio of their work. 

At the end apprentices will be able to qualify for their advanced data comms specialist card (gold)
